Overview
Kanas Lake is one of the best sites to view in China. This 5-day private tour will let you go with a local guide from Urumqi by a private vehicle. D1. Met from your centrally located Urumqi hotel at 8am, then drive 8-9 hours to Buerjin. Visit the Ghost City on the way.
D2. Drive 3 hours from Buerjin to Kanas, visit the lake area.
D3. Move to Hemu Village, enjoy the picturesque village in the afternoon.
D4. Drive back to Buerjin, visit the Rainbow Beach to view the sunset.

What to expect
Day 1: Urumqi to Buerjin by car

Today you will drive from Urumqi to Buerjin for 8-9 hours. On the way, you will visit the renown Ghost City in Wu'erhe, Karamay. This area is spectacular yardan landform, meaning the uneven land in Uyghur language. The large area is filled with all sorts of clay landforms, some look like palace, some look like human etc....Afterwards you will arrive in Buerjin in the evening. The interesting thing is to wander around the night market in Buerjin in the evening, you can taste the roasted fish that is local delicacy.
Day 2: Buerjing to Kanas Lake by car

Today you will take 3-hour ride to the well-known Kanas Lake. Firstly you drive to Jia Deng Yu where you will change a shuttle bus to the Kanas Lake and go up to Guan Yu Tai (Fish Observation Pavilion).
In the afternoon, you can wander around the Kanas river and Kanas lake.
On the way back to Jia Deng Yu, you will visit Dragon bay, Moon bay and Fairy bay.
Day 3: Kanas Lake to Hemu Village by car

Today you will take 1 hour ride to Hemu Village that is one of 10 must-see villages in China. The traditional Tuwa People's wooden houses are built in a valley, and it is a stunning picture to view the village on the top of hill.
Day 4: Hemu Village to Buerjin County by car

Take 4-hour ride back to Buerjin after viewing the morning village in Hemu. In the afternoon, you will go to the suburb of Buerjin to view the impressive Rainbow Beach beside the Erqis River. The red, yellow, blue, white and black clays create a wonderful picture with the old trees and the river while the sun setting down.
Day 5: Buerjin County to Urumqi by car
