Overview

Climb Chimborazo, Ecuador’s highest mountain and one of the most iconic volcanoes in the Andes, on a private 2-day expedition designed with safety, acclimatization, and personalized guidance in mind. Led by certified mountain guides, it includes private transportation, technical mountaineering equipment, meals, accommodation at Chimborazo High Camp, and national park permits.

Unlike a standard hiking tour, this is a real high-altitude mountaineering expedition. The climb is physically demanding and depends on weather, mountain conditions, and each traveler’s acclimatization. Our priority is to provide a safe, professional, and organized experience while giving you the opportunity to attempt one of Ecuador’s most unforgettable summits.

This is a high-altitude expedition. Summit success is not guaranteed and depends on weather, mountain conditions, acclimatization, and guide safety decisions. Due to advance logistics, traveler cancellations are non-refundable. Safety comes first.

After lunch, we continue for about 1 hour to the Chimborazo Wildlife Production Reserve. There, we complete the registration process, prepare our technical equipment, and start the ascent to Chimborazo High Camp, which takes approximately 1.5 hours.

Once at High Camp, we settle in, review key safety instructions, and enjoy the incredible mountain views. Dinner is served around 5:00 PM. Afterward, we prepare our gear for the summit attempt and rest early. We wake up around 11:30 PM, drink hot tea, finish dressing, and begin the climb near midnight.

After a short time at the summit, depending on weather and safety conditions, we descend to High Camp, which usually takes around 2.5 hours. There, we have breakfast, pack our equipment, and descend for about 1 hour to the parking area, where our private transport will be waiting.
