Over two days, learn safe freediving through instructor-led theory, confined-water practice, and open-water training. Usual times are Day 1, 7:30 AM–2:00 PM, and Day 2, 7:00 AM–12:00 PM; follow the times confirmed for your booked dates. Meet near Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon in Waikiki. Practice breathing and relaxation, static and dynamic apnea, equalization, duck diving, body position, finning, turns, buoyancy, buddy procedures, safety, and rescue skills. The AIDA 2 certification depth requirement is 12 meters; maximum training depth is 20 meters (65 feet). Training depends on ocean conditions, safety, comfort, and demonstrated ability. Reaching 20 meters is neither required nor guaranteed. Booking and attendance do not guarantee certification, which requires successful completion of all applicable theory, confined-water, open-water, safety, rescue, and performance requirements.
Prerequisites: Age 18+, or 16–17 with parent or guardian consent. Swim 200 m nonstop without fins, or 300 m nonstop with mask, fins and snorkel. Be comfortable in the water and able to speak and read English.
