Experience Nagoya like a local on a relaxed yet meaningful walking tour. We will reach out after booking with a short questionnaire to tailor the day around your interests. Whether you're curious about traditional temples, bustling food markets, or quiet corners locals love, your route will reflect the real Nagoya. Here are some walkable and free-entry highlights your host may include:
  2. Atsutajingu
    Pass by
This sacred Shinto site is one of Japan’s most revered, believed to house the legendary sword Kusanagi. Wander its peaceful wooded grounds, pass under centuries-old torii gates, and take in the quiet spiritual atmosphere. Your host will share stories about its role in Japanese mythology and help you notice details most visitors miss.
  3. Osu Shopping Street
    Pass by
Step into the vibrant backstreets of Osu—Nagoya’s most eclectic neighborhood. Here, modern subcultures and historical temples coexist. Your host might guide you to a tucked-away shrine, a vintage toy shop, or a hidden café beloved by locals. There’s no entry fee—just your curiosity and appetite for discovery.
  4. Endoji Shopping Street
    Pass by
This nostalgic covered arcade offers a slower-paced glimpse into local life. Browse artisan storefronts, chat with shop owners, and soak in the charm of pre-war Nagoya architecture. Your host will point out details that bring the area’s quiet resilience and history to life.
  5. Shikemichi
    Pass by
Wander this preserved Edo-period merchant street, lined with earthen storehouses and low-slung wooden buildings. It’s a peaceful contrast to the city’s urban sprawl, and your host will share tales of how the area survived past fires and transformations.
  6. Pass by
Stretch your legs in this green corridor through central Nagoya. While the TV Tower observation deck requires a fee, the park and base area are open to all. Your host may share local anecdotes or help you people-watch from a favorite bench with a snack from a nearby vendor.
