Overview
An intimate and personal experience awaits you with this 4-day safari tour to Tangala Safari Camp which is located in the heart of the world renowned Thornybush big 5 Game Reserve in the Greater Kruger Park. Being established in 1940, Tangala Safari Camp was one of first established safari camps in Thornybush Private Game Reserve and is rich in the history of the region. The camp underwent a renovation in 2016, that saw the introduction to 6 new luxury colonial tents as well as the transition to an ecofriendlier approach to its operation. The camp overlooks an expansive and active waterhole, with the impressive Drakensberg Mountain Range forming the backdrop. All power is now sourced from solar renewable energy to achieve better sustainability. Guests are assured an unforgettable experience with the new eco-friendly camp, great hosting, authentic accommodation and exciting game drives.

The day begins before dawn with coffee and rusks before a 3-hour sunrise game drive through Thornybush. After high tea, venture out again for your sunset safari, followed by a gourmet dinner under the African stars

Your final morning begins with a sunrise game drive through Thornybush, soaking in last wildlife sightings. Return to Tangala Safari Camp for a leisurely brunch before checking out. Depart late morning for the 5-6 hour transfer to OR Tambo International Airport, arriving by approximately 17:00 for your onward journey.
