5 Days Safari in Tarangire Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater

Day 1: Arrival to Tanzania

1. Arusha

   Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative from Williamson Adventures and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax at the lodge, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, and prepare for the exciting safari adventure ahead. Your guide will brief you on the upcoming journey and answer any questions you may have.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

1. Tarangire National Park
   10h
   After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, a spectacular wildlife destination known for its enormous elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse ecosystems. The Tarangire River attracts wildlife throughout the year, providing excellent opportunities to observe elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, and various antelope species. With some luck, you may also spot lions and leopards resting beneath the trees or stalking their prey.
   
   Enjoy an exciting game drive through the park, with opportunities for wildlife photography and a picnic lunch surrounded by nature. In the late afternoon, leave the park and transfer to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti National Park

1. Serengeti National Park
   10h
   After breakfast, journey towards the legendary Serengeti National Park, travelling through the beautiful landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you approach the Serengeti, the scenery opens into vast grasslands dotted with rocky outcrops known as kopjes, which provide shelter for lions and other wildlife.
   
   Upon entering the park, enjoy a game drive across the endless plains in search of the Big Five and other fascinating animals. The Serengeti is particularly famous for its extraordinary lion population, elusive leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and seasonal movements of millions of wildebeest and zebras during the Great Migration.
   
   As the day comes to an end, proceed to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay beneath the African sky.

Day 4: Serengeti to ngorongoro Conservation Area

1. Serengeti National Park
   10h
   After breakfast, enjoy a full morning game drive in the magnificent Serengeti National Park, exploring its vast open plains and searching for the incredible wildlife that makes this destination one of Africa’s finest safari experiences. Accompanied by your experienced safari guide, look out for lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, cheetahs, and other fascinating wildlife. Depending on the season, you may also encounter herds of the Great Migration moving across the Serengeti plains.
   
   Enjoy a picnic lunch during your safari before continuing your afternoon game drive, taking advantage of the remaining time to discover more of the park’s diverse landscapes and wildlife. Later in the afternoon, begin your journey out of the Serengeti towards Karatu, enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way.
   
   Upon arrival at Eileen’s Tree Inn, settle in and relax after an exciting day of wildlife exploration. Enjoy dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha

1. Ngorongoro Conservation Area
   10h
   After breakfast, travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend approximately 600 metres into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most extraordinary wildlife destinations.
   
   The crater’s varied habitats, including grasslands, forests, wetlands, and a soda lake, support a remarkable concentration of wildlife. During your game drive, look out for lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, and the endangered black rhino. The crater also offers excellent opportunities for birdwatching and photography against a backdrop of dramatic volcanic scenery.
   
   Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before ascending to the crater rim and beginning your return journey to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your agreed location, bringing your unforgettable Tanzanian safari adventure to a close.
