Overview

This Pasochoa horseback ride takes you to Sillunchi Farm, an hour south of Quito, to ride with the local chagras. Trails cross open pastures, eucalyptus groves and páramo on the slopes of an extinct volcano, while Cotopaxi, Rumiñahui and the Illinizas line the Avenue of the Volcanoes on clear days.

Back at the farmhouse, a three-course lunch comes straight from the land, followed by the afternoon milking with the farm team. The pace adapts to every group, so families and first-time riders feel at ease. Pair it with one of our Andes mountain tours for a deeper look at highland life.
