Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

   Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport where you will be welcomed by your safari guide. Transfer to your luxury hotel in Arusha and relax as you prepare for the exciting journey ahead. Enjoy a peaceful evening surrounded by lush gardens and views of Mount Meru.

Day 2: Arusha → Tarangire National Park

1. Tarangire National Park

   After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. Explore this beautiful wilderness known for huge elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and rich birdlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and continue your afternoon safari. Later, drive to Kitela Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Tarangire → Ndutu (Southern Serengeti)

   Depart Tarangire after breakfast and drive toward the Ndutu area, the heart of the calving season. Arrive for an afternoon game drive and witness vast wildebeest herds spread across the Ndutu plains. Predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas closely follow the herd during this season. Dinner and overnight at Lake Masek Tented Lodge.

Day 4: Full-Day Calving Experience in Ndutu

1. Serengeti National Park

   Spend a full day exploring the Ndutu region, the epicenter of the Great Calving Migration. This is where hundreds of thousands of wildebeest give birth between January and March. Predators are highly active, providing incredible sightings and dramatic wildlife interactions. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Ndutu → Serengeti (Olkarien)

   After breakfast, enjoy a game drive en route to Olkarien. The area around Olkarien Gorge is known for its dramatic landscapes and excellent opportunities to spot big cats. Continue your safari through the plains and arrive at camp in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Olkarien.

Day 6: Full-Day Safari in Serengeti

   Enjoy a full-day game drive in the Serengeti. Explore the nearby valleys and open savannahs, searching for lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and the ever-present wildebeest herds. Your guide will design the day around the movement of wildlife for the best experience. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 7: Serengeti → Ngorongoro Conservation Area

   After breakfast, begin your journey from Serengeti to the Ngorongoro area. Enjoy game viewing along the way before arriving at Naserian Safari Camp in the late afternoon. Relax with stunning views in this peaceful location before dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater Tour → Arusha / Departure

   Descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. This natural amphitheater is home to an incredible density of wildlife including lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, hippos, and—if you are lucky—the rare black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the lakeside before driving back to Arusha. Drop-off at your hotel or airport for your onward flight.

Pickup details

On Day 1, we pick you up at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) according to your flight arrival time and transfer you to Gran Meliá Arusha. Please provide your flight number and arrival time in advance so we can arrange your pickup. On Day 8, drop-off is at your hotel in Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport, as arranged.
