4-Day Yangtze River Cruise from Chongqing to Yichang

Day 1: Chongqing Embarkation

   Arrive in Chongqing and begin your Yangtze River journey with embarkation on your cruise ship.
   
   Guests arriving at Chongqing Airport or major railway stations during the designated transfer period may use the complimentary scheduled transfer service to the port. After boarding, settle into your comfortable stateroom, take time to explore the ship, and attend the cruise safety briefing.
   
   In the evening, enjoy a welcome buffet dinner as the ship departs Chongqing and begins sailing downstream along the Yangtze River.
   
   Complimentary Transfer Service:
   Guests arriving at Chongqing Airport or major railway stations between 09:00 and 15:00 will be transferred to Raffles City Chongqing. Guests arriving between 15:00 and 20:00 will be transferred directly to Chongqing Port for embarkation. Please note that airport transfer service closes one hour earlier than the stated arrival cut-off time.
   Recommended arrival schedule: please book trains and flights arriving before 14:00.

Day 2: Baiheliang Underwater Museum or 816 Underground Project and Onboard Activities Fuling or Zhong County Excursion

   After breakfast, choose one of two included morning excursions.
   
   Option A: White Crane Ridge Underwater Museum
   Visit a fascinating underwater museum that preserves ancient stone inscriptions once used to record the Yangtze’s seasonal water levels.
   On selected regular 2026 departures, the excursion also includes the Fuling Zhacai History Memory Hall, introducing Fuling’s century-old pickled vegetable heritage.
   
   Option B: 816 Underground Project
   Explore a remarkable underground complex built inside a mountain during the 1960s, offering insight into a unique chapter of modern Chinese history.
   
   Important Note: If docking conditions require adjustment due to weather or navigation restrictions, the excursion may be replaced with a visit to Fengdu Ghost City.
2. Yangtze River

   After the excursion, return to the ship for lunch and enjoy the onboard atmosphere as you continue cruising through the heart of the Yangtze region. Cultural activities and leisure time onboard provide a relaxing balance to the day’s sightseeing.
   Before dinner, join the Captain’s Welcome Reception. In the evening, enjoy the large-scale live performance War Fire of the Three Kingdoms, adding an entertaining cultural touch to your cruise experience.
   Note: If the show is canceled, it will be replaced by a small-boat excursion to Wushan Goddess Stream the following afternoon.

Day 3: White Emperor City or Three Gorges Summit, Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge Cruising

   Today combines one of the cruise’s most memorable excursions with the classic scenery of the Three Gorges.
   In the morning, choose between:
   Option A: White Emperor City
   Visit this historic site near the entrance to Qutang Gorge, celebrated for its literary heritage, historical associations, and panoramic river views.
   Option B: Three Gorges Summit
   Head to one of the best viewpoints in the region for sweeping views over the dramatic cliffs and winding waters of Qutang Gorge.
2. Chongqing Qutang Gorge

   Back on board, spend the afternoon enjoying one of the highlights of the entire journey: scenic cruising through the Three Gorges. Sail through Qutang Gorge, known for its steep cliffs and narrow passage, then continue into the elegant and misty Wu Gorge. Later, cruise through the western section of Xiling Gorge, known for its rugged canyon scenery.
   
   In the evening, relax onboard and enjoy the lively Crew Cabaret Show.

Day 4: Three Gorges Dam Area, Ship Elevator and Yichang Disembarkation

1. Three Gorges Dam Project

   On your final morning, cruise into the Three Gorges Dam area, home to one of the world’s most ambitious hydropower projects.
   Subject to operational conditions, the ship may pass through the impressive Three Gorges Ship Elevator, a remarkable engineering system that raises vessels vertically across the dam.
   
   Important Notes:
   1.Today’s itinerary does not include any onshore visits inside the Three Gorges Dam Scenic Area, such as Tanziling Park or the River Closure Memorial Park.
   2.Today’s sightseeing program is complimentary and subject to operational conditions. If the Three Gorges Ship Elevator is unavailable due to weather or other operational reasons, an alternative sightseeing program will be arranged based on local conditions. If the complimentary program cannot be provided, no refund will apply.
   3.On selected 2026 departures operating through early December, the sightseeing vessel will also pass through the Gezhou Dam Ship Lock.
2. Yichang
   1h
   Afterward, continue sailing through the eastern section of Xiling Gorge before arriving at the Three Gorges Tourist Center in Yichang.
   
   Disembark at the Three Gorges Tourist Center at approximately 14:00. A complimentary transfer will then be provided to Yichang Sanxia Airport, Yichang East Railway Station, or Yichang Railway Station.
   
   Complimentary transfer service to Yichang Sanxia Airport, Yichang East Railway Station, or Yichang Railway Station will be arranged after disembarkation, with departures available at approximately 14:00.
   
   Important Note: Please schedule onward trains after 16:00 and flights after 17:30 to allow sufficient time for disembarkation and transfers.

Pickup details

Complimentary Transfer Services: Complimentary transfer services from Chongqing Airport and Railway Stations.
1. Arrivals between 9:00 and 15:00 will be transferred to Raffles City Chongqing;and arrivals between 15:00 and 20:00 will be transferred to Chongqing Port to board the Yangtze River cruise. Please note that airport transfer service closes one hour earlier than the stated arrival cut-off time.
2. Recommended arrival schedule: please book trains and flights arriving before 14:00.
3. Important Note: If Chongqing Port is unavailable, guests will meet at the city meeting point designated by the cruise company between 14:30 and 17:00 for complimentary coach transfer to the confirmed embarkation pier. Please arrive before 16:00. The final coach departs at 17:00. Late arrivals must travel to the pier at their own expense.

• Arranged Shore Excursions: The arranged shore excursions are included in your tour price, so you can visit the listed sites at no extra cost. However, if you choose not to join or visit these included excursions, the unused excursion fees are non-refundable.
• Physical Demands: There are several stairs to climb up at White Emperor City, Three Gorges Summit. Comfortable shoes are highly recommended to visit these sites.
• Shore Excursions Arrangement: Please select between OPTION A and B for shore excursions by the onboard notification deadline.Failure to choose will default to Option A.
• Special Holiday: The cruise prices for holidays such as National Holiday (the first week of October), Labor Day, Spring Festival, etc., are quoted upon request.
• Transfer Service from/to Airport/Train Stations: The airport/train station transfer service operates on fixed departure times. For guests in standard cabins, the waiting time will not exceed 30 minutes (arranged reasonably according to their arrival time), and guests may use the Yangtze Cruise Lounge while waiting.
• Subject to Change: All times are provisional and subject to change due to weather or navigational conditions.Shore excursion durations may also vary for safety reasons.
• Valid only for international travelers from outside Mainland China. This includes guests from Europe, the Americas, Australia, India, and other international regions.
• Important Note: If the cruise is unable to dock at Chongqing Port due to weather, water levels, navigation restrictions, or other force majeure circumstances, guests will be asked to meet at a designated meeting point in the city between 14:30 and 17:00. Arrival before 16:00 is recommended. The final transfer coach departs at 17:00. The alternative embarkation port is expected to be Fuling No. 5 Pier (涪陵五码头), but is subject to final confirmation based on river and operational conditions. Guests who miss the final coach must arrange their own transportation to the confirmed embarkation port for boarding.
• Traveler details required at booking: Full name exactly as shown on the passport, passport number, and a mobile phone number reachable during the trip are required for each traveler. Incorrect or incomplete information may affect safety registration and boarding arrangements.
• Boarding notice: Final boarding details, including the pier address and boarding time, will be sent before departure. Due to water levels, weather, navigation conditions, or local operational requirements, the embarkation pier may be adjusted. Please follow the latest boarding notice and allow enough time for transfers.
• Note: The Three Gorges Ship Elevator will be closed for scheduled maintenance from 08:00 on August 18, 2026, for approximately 42 days. A temporary alternative itinerary will operate during this period.
