Overview

Begin your journey at the iconic Vista do Rei viewpoint, where you’ll admire the striking contrast of the blue and green lakes of Sete Cidades, one of the most famous natural wonders in Portugal. Head into the hills to enjoy the view over the stunning Lagoa do Fogo, followed by a visit to Caldeira Velha, a nature reserve, where you can relax in the hot springs.

Then, visit the Gorreana Tea Plantation, the oldest tea plantation in Europe, where you’ll explore the factory and taste locally produced green and black teas.

Stop at Pico do Ferro to enjoy the amazing view over Furnas valley. In the village of Furnas, see some volcanic phenomena, known as fumaroles.
