Overview

Step back nearly 4,000 years on a private guided tour of prehistoric Akrotiri, one of the most important archaeological sites in the Aegean.

With a licensed professional guide, explore the exceptionally well-preserved remains of a Bronze Age settlement buried by a volcanic eruption around 1600 BC. Walk through two- and three-storey buildings and discover evidence of an advanced society, including kitchens, toilets, and a sophisticated drainage system far ahead of its time.

Learn about the daily life, social structure, and culture of Akrotiri’s inhabitants, and hear the story of the famous frescoes that once decorated their homes. Your private guide brings the site to life with clear explanations, historical context, and engaging storytelling.

This private tour allows you to explore at your own pace, ask questions, and gain a deeper understanding of this remarkable prehistoric town—an unforgettable journey into Santorini’s ancient past.
