The Great Migration Multiday Private Tour in Serengeti

Day 1: Arusha-Central Serengeti

1. Serengeti National Park
   8h
Your 5-Day Mid-Range Tanzania Safari – Serengeti Great Migration River Crossing & Big Five begins with an early morning drive from Arusha toward Serengeti National Park. The journey takes you through the scenic highlands and conservation areas, offering beautiful views along the way.

Upon entering the Central Serengeti (Seronera), your game drive begins immediately. This wildlife-rich region is known for resident predators such as lions and leopards, as well as elephants, giraffes, zebras, and large herds of wildebeest. During migration season, you may encounter moving herds crossing the plains as they prepare for the northern river crossings.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park, followed by an afternoon game drive en route to your mid-range tented camp or lodge. Dinner and overnight in the heart of the Serengeti, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness

Day 2: Central-North Serengeti

1. Serengeti National Park
   8h
After an early breakfast, continue your 5-Day Mid-Range Tanzania Safari with a scenic game drive from Central Serengeti toward the Northern Serengeti. The journey itself is rich in wildlife, as you follow the migration corridor northward across vast open plains.

As you travel deeper into Serengeti National Park, you may encounter large herds of wildebeest and zebras moving toward the Mara River, especially during the Great Migration season. Predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas often follow closely behind.

Arrive in the Northern Serengeti (Mara River area) in the afternoon and continue exploring key crossing points where dramatic river crossings may occur. After an exciting day of game viewing, transfer to your mid-range tented camp for dinner and overnight near the migration

Day 3: Full Day North Serengeti

1. Serengeti National Park
   10h
Today is dedicated to a full-day game drive in the Northern part of Serengeti National Park, focusing on the Mara River region — the highlight of your 5-Day Mid-Range Tanzania Safari – Serengeti Great Migration River Crossing & Big Five.

With picnic lunch packed, you will explore key river crossing points where thousands of wildebeest and zebras gather before attempting the dramatic Mara River crossing (seasonal). You may witness intense wildlife action as crocodiles wait in the water and predators such as lions and hyenas patrol nearby.

Beyond the migration, Northern Serengeti offers rolling green landscapes, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and exceptional big cat sightings in a less crowded setting. After a full day tracking wildlife movements, return to your mid-range tented camp for dinner and overnight, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 4: North-Central Serengeti

1. Serengeti National Park
   6h
After breakfast, depart the Mara River area and begin your scenic game drive back toward Central Serengeti National Park. This return journey is far from ordinary — it offers another opportunity to follow migration herds moving across the plains and to spot predators along the way.

As you travel south, you may encounter lions resting on kopjes, cheetahs scanning the grasslands, large elephant families, and buffalo herds. The shifting landscapes from rolling northern hills to the wide open central plains showcase the diversity of the Serengeti ecosystem.

Arrive in Central Serengeti in the afternoon and continue with a rewarding game drive in the wildlife-rich Seronera area, known for strong year-round Big Five sightings. Later, transfer to your mid-range lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight, enjoying your final evening in the heart of the Serengeti.
