Nyoirinji Temple, also called the "Frog Temple," earned its name after the abbot brought a jade frog from China. Now, around 10,000 frogs of various shapes and colors are displayed at the temple.

Nyoirinji Temple offers seasonal beauty with cherry blossoms, hydrangeas, maple leaves, and summer greenery. In summer, thousands of wind chimes are displayed with wishes for safety.

Yufuin, voted the top tourist spot by Japanese women, is a peaceful, mountain-surrounded town perfect for relaxation.

Kinrin Lake, located at the foot of Mount Yufu, was originally called "Yuemoto Pond" or "Yuexia Pond."

Hot springs flow from the west of Kinrin Lake, while clear water comes from the east. This temperature difference causes fog to rise over the water surface as temperatures drop.

Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, dedicated to the god of learning Sugawara no Michizane, is the largest of 12,000 Tenmangu shrines in Japan and a popular destination for visitors from around the world.

Travelers will experience the beauty of Beppu from above with a ride on the Kintetsu Beppu Ropeway, an aerial lift that connects Beppu City to the slopes of Mount Tsurumi. As the cable car ascends, enjoy panoramic views of Beppu Bay, the city’s hot spring steam rising below, and the surrounding mountains that change colors with each season—cherry blossoms in spring, lush greenery in summer, vibrant autumn leaves, and snow in winter.
