Overview

Most Vatican tours focus solely on the Museums and Sistine Chapel, but this experience starts with one of Rome’s most rewarding viewpoints: the top of St. Peter’s Dome. Enter St. Peter’s Basilica first thing, then climb above Vatican City for sweeping views over St. Peter’s Square and the rooftops of Rome. Next, return to ground level to see the Pietà di Michelangelo inside St. Peter's Basilica.

The tour continues with timed entry tickets to the Vatican Museums, where your guide leads you through highlights such as the Pio-Clementino Museum, Gallery of Maps, and Raphael Rooms. The experience ends in the Sistine Chapel, where Michelangelo’s ceiling and Last Judgement bring the tour to a powerful close. This tour is ideal for travelers who want to experience the Dome climb, Basilica, Vatican Museums, and Sistine Chapel in one well-paced route with an expert guide.
