Overview

Discover Coronado Island, one of Loreto’s most remarkable natural destinations, surrounded by the waters of the Sea of Cortez — famously described by Jacques Cousteau as “The Aquarium of the World” for its extraordinary marine life.

Part of the UNESCO-listed Islands and Protected Areas of the Gulf of California, Coronado is home to sea lions, seabirds, colorful fish, and occasionally dolphins, making every visit a chance to experience the wildlife that makes this part of Baja California Sur so special.

Snorkel in clear waters and discover the marine life beneath the surface, then slow things down on a white-sand beach with a picnic lunch overlooking the turquoise sea.

Wildlife in the water, snorkeling beneath the surface, and a quiet beach waiting at the end — that’s what makes a day at Coronado Island so special.
