Begin with pickup from your accommodation in Moshi and visit a local gemstone shop, where a specialist will introduce you to tanzanite, Tanzania’s remarkable blue-violet gemstone.

Learn about its discovery, mining, and transformation into jewellery. Examine stones up close and understand how colour, clarity, cut, and carat weight influence their quality and price.

Continue to a second gemstone shop to compare stones and jewellery, ask questions, and explore pieces that suit your taste and budget. You’ll have the opportunity to buy your own piece of Tanzania to take home, with no obligation to purchase.
