What to expect

Pico de Orizaba is the highest mountain in Mexico as well as the third one in North America. This is an alpine climb. The trip begins in Tlachichuca, a small town located on the outskirts of the mountain and around 3 hours from Mexico City. We´ll drive in 4*4 vehicles to Piedra Grande, which is a cabin at the base of the mountain. The climb begins around 1 AM in the morning. We will hike until we get to the glacier, where we will put our ice equipment on and hopefully make it to the summit.
