I’m Fausto Borella, Italian Academy Sommelier of Extra virgin olive oil Founder. I role Maestrod’olio Academy in Lucca, in the heart of Tuscany. We are specialized in organizing private tastings and incentive events.
In the historical site of the Academy, an XVIII-century apartment, we can admire a stunning view: from the medieval city walls to Lucca's VIII-century cathedral bell tower or the historic Theatre of the town. In our Academy, we propose our guests the best local products. We usually introduce the world of Evo, cultivars, health benefits and then we move on to make an extra virgin olive oil tasting of 4 Evos.
Extra virgin olive oil tasting is followed by wine tasting and a light lunch to appreciate traditional Tuscan cooking.
All the activities are held personally by me, Evo expert and food & wine consultant, in English, French, and Spanish.
