Continue to the Basilica of the National Vote, considered the most important work of neo-Gothic architecture in Ecuador. Climb its towers, observe its gargoyles, and walk through its interiors that have not yet been finished according to legend.
Move towards the Plaza Grande or Plaza de la Independencia, where the Government Palace or Carondelet Palace is located, the Municipal Building and the City Cathedral. A few steps away, arrive at La Compañía de Jesús Church, a jewel of Baroque architecture and an impressive sample of Quito's colonial art.
Continue to the Church of San Francisco and learn about the interesting myths and legends that took place during its construction. In this square, savor one of the best chocolates made with fine Ecuadorian aroma cocoa.

After this delicious stop, walk until you reach Morales Street, or better known as La Ronda, a place full of colorful houses that are preserved since colonial and republican times. Continue to the Panecillo viewpoint located on top of the hill of the same name at 3,035 meters above sea level, and which was formerly known as "shungoloma" or heart hill.
See a large-scale aluminum replica scale (45mts.) of the Virgin of Quito, sculpted by Quito artist Bernardo de Legarda and whose original is displayed on the main altar of the Church of San Francisco. At the end of the tour, your transportation will be waiting for you to return to your hotel.
