4 Days Tanzania Group Joining Safari with Mid-range Accommodation

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire – {4 Days Tanzania group joining Safari with mid-range accommodations}

1. Tarangire National Park
   8h
   In the morning you will start your 4-day group joining safari with a drive to the Tarangire National Park. The park, roughly the size of Luxemburg, covers an area of approximately 2,600 km². The landscape of savannah, seasonal swamps, and giant baobab trees is home to Masai giraffes, buffaloes, hartebeest, eland, fringe-eared oryx, the weird-looking long-necked gerenuk, and over 550 species of birds. But it is the elephants, Tarangire is famous for and the park, where herds of up to 300 animals roam, is probably one of the best places in East Africa to see them and to get close to these giant creatures. After an extensive game drive, you will drive to Manyara (Mto wa mbu), where you will spend the night in a mid-range lodge.

Day 2: Manyara(Mto wa Mbu) – Central Serengeti – {4 Days Tanzania Group Joining Safari}

1. Serengeti National Park
   8h
   After breakfast, you will leave Mto wa Mbu and drive through the cooler highland region towards the Serengeti National Park. The world-renowned Serengeti National Park, with its diverse landscape ranging from grass plains and dry savannah to marshy woodlands, is the stamping ground of many carnivorous predators and their prey.
   The park is home to the largest animal migration in the world and depending on the season you will be able to witness this spectacular event unfold. The herds of wildebeest and zebra journey in the short rainy season of November and December from the hills in the north to the southern plains before returning to the north during the longer rainy season of April to June. The location of the migrating herds is dependent on the yearly rainfall, but your guide will know where the best vantage points for wildlife viewing are. The night will be spent at a lodge in central Serengeti.

Day 3: Central Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater Rim {4 Days Tanzania group sharing Safari}

1. Serengeti National Park
   8h
   As the sun slowly rises over the vast open plains, you will commence your first game drive of the day. Due to the abundance of prey species, such as gazelles and impalas, the park boasts one of the largest lion populations in Africa as well as other predators such as leopards and cheetahs. Returning to the lodge after the game drive you will enjoy a hearty breakfast before leaving the park and driving towards Ngorongoro Crater. Arriving at the crater rim, the 600m deep caldera in all its splendor opens up before you. You will spend the night at a lodge on the crater’s edge, watching the sunset over the glistening springs of the collapsed volcano’s floor.

Day 4: Ngorongoro full day drive back to Arusha– {4 Days Mid-range group joining Safari}

1. Ngorongoro Crater
   8h
   After an early breakfast, you will start your descent on a narrow and steep road to the crater floor. The crater is inhabited by a spectacular array of wildlife, which includes zebras, hippos, hyenas, wildebeests, warthogs, and the famous Big Five – buffalo, rhino, lion, elephant, and leopard. After extensive game viewing and lunch at a picnic spot, you will leave the crater in the evening and travel back to Arusha.
