Overview

Reach Rainbow Mountain the easy way: by ATV instead of a long high-altitude trek. After hotel pickup in Cusco and a semi-buffet breakfast, you ride a single or double ATV through the Andean highlands, almost to the top of Vinicunca. From there it is only an 8 to 10-minute walk to the upper viewpoint at 5,036 m (16,522 ft), where you have about 30 minutes for photos of the colored slopes and the Ausangate glacier. Feeling the altitude? A lower viewpoint is just 4 to 5 minutes away. A bilingual guide accompanies you all day, and a semi-buffet lunch is included before the return to Cusco.

    Ride your ATV through the Andean highlands almost all the way up Rainbow Mountain. From where you park, it is only an 8 to 10-minute walk to the upper viewpoint at 5,036 m (16,522 ft), with views of the colored slopes and the Ausangate glacier. If the altitude is affecting you, a lower viewpoint is just 4 to 5 minutes away on foot.

The tour ends at Plaza Regocijo, not at your hotel.
