A day trip to Kereita Forest offers a refreshing outdoor adventure just outside Nairobi. The trip usually begins with an early morning departure ,followed by a scenic drive through the highlands of Kiambu County, arriving at the forest in about 1.5–2 hours. Upon arrival, visitors can choose from a variety of activities including guided forest walks, hiking trails, mountain biking, ziplining, archery, paintball, and nature photography.
The day is typically spent exploring the different activity areas and enjoying the fresh forest environment. Visitors may stop for lunch at the forest restaurant or picnic areas before continuing with optional activities in the afternoon. Popular highlights include East Africa’s long zipline courses, scenic biking trails through the trees, and quiet walking paths surrounded by indigenous forest. The tour usually ends in the late afternoon with a return drive to Nairobi, arriving in the evening.
