Day 1: Welcome to Kenya – The Journey Begins

Day 2: Into the Wild – Journey to Maasai Mara

Later in the afternoon, your first game drive begins.
This is your first opportunity to encounter Kenya's famous wildlife in its natural environment. Depending on the season and location, you may see elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, lions and possibly leopards.
As the sun begins to set, we return to camp.
Day 3: A Full Day in Kenya's Most Famous Wilderness
Masai Mara National Reserve

Today is dedicated entirely to the Maasai Mara.
We recommend an early start, when the wildlife is often particularly active and the morning light creates excellent photography conditions.
After breakfast, head deep into the reserve with your safari guide.
Your guide will carefully follow wildlife activity and choose the best areas to explore rather than simply following a fixed route.
You may encounter: Lions, Elephants,Leopards,Giraffes, Zebras, Buffaloes, Hippos, Abundant birdlife
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your game drive.
Return to your lodge in the late afternoon for relaxation and dinner.
Day 4: Wildlife, People & the Spirit of Kenya
Masai Mara National Reserve

This morning offers a different side of the Mara.
After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed game drive, looking for wildlife you may have missed on the previous day.
Later, we visit a Maasai community.
Rather than simply passing through for photographs, the experience gives you an opportunity to learn about the traditional Maasai way of life, their culture, homes, traditions, beadwork and relationship with their livestock and surrounding environment.
Return to your lodge for lunch and an afternoon of relaxation.
In the late afternoon, enjoy your final Mara game drive.
Watch the landscape change as the sun drops towards the horizon.
Day 5: From Open Savannah to the Great Rift Valley
Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, we leave the Maasai Mara and begin your journey towards Lake Nakuru.
The drive takes us through rural Kenya and back towards the Great Rift Valley.
After arriving at your lodge and enjoying lunch, we head into Lake Nakuru National Park for an afternoon game drive.
Lake Nakuru is particularly known for its rhino population and beautiful scenery.
Keep your eyes open for:Black and white rhinos, Rothschild's giraffes, Lions, Buffaloes, Antelopes, Eagles and other bird species
Return to your lodge after the game drive.
Day 6: A Slower Day – Water, Wildlife & Nature
Lake Naivasha

Today we change the pace.
After breakfast, we drive a short distance to Lake Naivasha, one of Kenya's beautiful freshwater lakes.
After checking into your accommodation and enjoying lunch, take a relaxing boat safari on Lake Naivasha.
As you glide across the lake, look for hippos in the water and African fish eagles, pelicans and other waterbirds around the shoreline.
If conditions and your preference allow, we can also include a guided nature experience on Crescent Island, where wildlife can be viewed on foot.
Return to your accommodation for a peaceful evening.
Day 7: Towards the Mountain of Africa
Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, we begin your journey south towards Amboseli National Park.
The scenery changes dramatically as we approach the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and relaxation.
Afternoon Amboseli Game Drive
Later, head into the park.
Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain.
With luck and clear weather, you may capture one of Kenya's most iconic safari photographs:

Return to your lodge for dinner.
Day 8: Elephants Beneath Kilimanjaro
Amboseli National Park

We recommend an early morning game drive because the morning light can provide beautiful views of Kilimanjaro and wildlife activity is often excellent.
Explore the park's different habitats, including open plains and wetland areas.
Your guide will look for elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, hippos and numerous bird species.
A Special Bush Experience
Instead of simply returning to the lodge for lunch, enjoy a memorable bush lunch in a designated safe area surrounded by the landscape.
After lunch, relax at the lodge before another optional afternoon game drive.
Day 9: Entering Kenya's Red Wilderness

After breakfast, we leave Amboseli and continue towards Tsavo East.
The landscape gradually changes from the open Amboseli plains to the dramatic red-earth scenery for which Tsavo is famous.
After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive.
Tsavo East is vast, wild and wonderfully different from the Maasai Mara and Amboseli.
Look for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, lions, antelopes and many bird species.
The famous red soil often gives Tsavo's elephants a distinctive reddish appearance as they cover themselves in the park's dust.
Return to your lodge as the evening approaches.
Day 10: One Last Morning in the Wild

Your final safari morning begins early.
Enjoy a final game drive while the African wilderness wakes up around you.
This is your last opportunity to photograph wildlife and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the Kenyan bush.
Return to the lodge for breakfast before beginning your journey back to Nairobi.
