The drive along the coast is an experience in itself, leading to one of Oman’s most beautiful natural paradises: Wadi Shab.
Lined with palm trees and banana plantations, an approximately 45-minute mountain trek takes you through an impressive canyon to natural pools of crystal-clear water. Please note: this is a moderately challenging mountain hike and not recommended for travelers with knee problems.
Here you can swim in pleasantly tempered water all year round. At the end of the wadi, a small hidden waterfall awaits, which can be reached by swimming. Note: suitable for confident swimmers only.

Continue to the oasis of Wadi Tiwi
Next, you will explore the nearby Wadi Tiwi, another green gem with emerald-colored water, deeply carved into the mountain landscape. Here you’ll gain an authentic insight into life in the small villages scattered along the wadi. We take a short walk through the oasis while your guide explains the traditional Falaj irrigation systems that channel mountain water through the oasis.
