Overview

Step into the enchanting realm of Xel-Há, where nature and leisure intertwine to create an unforgettable experience for all ages. At the heart of the park lies La Caleta, a renowned area where the freshwater from underground rivers mingles with the saltwater of the Caribbean Sea. Here, amidst the natural pools, a diverse array of marine species thrive, offering a captivating visual and sensory journey for all who visit.

Rooted in the rich history of the Mayan peoples who once inhabited the region, Xel-Há's name itself holds significance. Meaning "water inlet" or "place where the waters are born" in Mayan, it pays homage to the natural bay of La Caleta, where the convergence of underground rivers gives rise to life-giving waters.
