The trekking will take about 1 – 2 hours, depending on your fitness. Upon your arrival at the top of the crater, you will be invited to see the most famous natural phenomenon of blue fire. It’s only 2 in the world, in Ijen Crater, Indonesia and Dallol Volcano, Ethiopia. But to see closer, you must go down into the crater of Ijen. It’s pretty dangerous, so if you feel doubt to go down, we suggest to stay on the top while waiting for the sunrise.

At about 6 am, you will see the best view of Mount Ijen, which is the turquoise color of the acid lake that makes the view more incredible.

Your pickup is scheduled for 7:00 PM. Please ensure your address is accessible by car. If your pickup location changes, kindly inform us as soon as possible. We can pick you up from a café, hotel, homestay, or the airport.

Your estimated drop-off time is around 5:00 PM (Balinese time). However, this may vary depending on your drop-off location and traffic conditions.

Important Information for all travellers who are going to book this trip: Every first Friday of the month, Mount Ijen is closed for one day. So, please make sure you check the date of your booking.
Announcement: IIjen Crater is now open as usual and safe to visit. However, due to natural conditions, the blue fire is temporarily not visible. Please remember to always follow safety guidelines during your visit.
