What to expect

The Xenotes Tour takes you deep into the Mayan jungle to explore four different types of cenotes — open, semi-open, cave, and ancient — each with its own mystical charm along the exclusive Ruta de los Cenotes, accessible only through this tour. Swim, kayak, zipline, and rappel in these sacred freshwater pools while learning about Mayan legends and traditions. According to Mayan mythology, these cenotes are protected by aluxes, mischievous dwarf spirits, adding a magical, mysterious touch to this one-of-a-kind adventure.

Tulum: There is no pick up in any hotel or Airbnb, the meeting point will be outside the Hotel Aloft Tulum.

The pickup time is set according to your location and start at 8:00 am, the travelers that doesn't provide pick up location will need to get in contact with us as soon as possible, otherwise we will be not be able to provide the service.

  • The average water temperature of the cenotes is 75 to 78° F throughout the year
  • Please take into account that the cenotes are located in the middle of the jungle, so some roads to reach them are not paved and could be bumpy
  • Also be aware that due to the location of the cenotes in the middle of the jungle, cell phone service is likely unavailable
