Materuni Coffee Tour is an authentic cultural experience in the lush foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, where you will discover the traditional coffee-making process practiced by the Chagga people for generations.
Visit a local coffee farm and learn every step of the journey from bean to cup. Pick ripe coffee cherries (seasonal), remove the outer pulp, roast the beans over an open fire, grind them by hand using traditional wooden mortars while joining in lively Chagga songs and dances, and finally brew and enjoy a fresh cup of organic Arabica coffee that you helped prepare.
