Overview
Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek From Kathmandu is off the beaten trekking path for amazing views, sherpa's culture, organic lifestyle, remote and less crowed trekking route of Nepal. Kanchenjunga is the world,s third highest peak, starts from Taplejung in east Nepal bordering with India further east. The trekking starting point is now reached by a short Jeep ride from Bhadrapur, a comfortable airport connected to Kathmandu. Kanachenjunga area is famous, not only for seeing and walking on the base and high passes of one of the biggest mountains on earth, but also given the cultural uniquensee of the local ethnic people, known as the Limbu, Lepcha and Sherpa. Kanchenjunga region is also enriches by vast bio-diversity with many species of birds, and rare wildlife like the red panda and snow leopard who roam in the protected site of the Kanchenjunga conservation area; it is one of the less trekked areas in the Himalaya. This region is suited to those who have some level of hiking experience .

What to expect
Day 1: Kathmandu to Bhandrapur by 1 hours flight and drive to Taplejung (9 hrs)

From Kathmandu, we will fly to Bhadrapur which is located in the Mechi Zone of southeastern Nepal and then drive to Taplejung by jeep. Overnight stay at guest house in Taplejung.
Day 2: Taplejung to Mitlung trek (1400 m/6 hrs)

We will head towards Mitlung by (5 hrs) of trekking.Our trek will begin, we will trek to Chiruwa. It is a simultaneous ascent and descent on a trail that mostly passes through lush green forests all way to Chiruwa. Overnight stay at guest house in Mitlung.
Day 3: Mitlung to Chiruwa trek (1300 m/8 hrs)

We will trek to Chiruwa with almost similar landscape as previous day with Cardamom plants. Overnight stay in guest house in Chiruwa.
Day 4: Chiruwa to Sekathum Trek (1600 m/ 6 hrs)

We will trek at 8 in the morning, will continue our trek along with Gunsa river bank, with view of Pathibhara peak and Selele pass. Overnight in Sekathum.
Day 5: Sekathum to Amjilosa trek (2100 m/ 7 hrs)

Today's trek, we will becoming closure to the mountains. Views will be increased. Rhododendron forest, Gunsa river and natural landscape. Overnihjt in Amjilosa.
Day 6: Amjilosa to Gyabla trek (2800 m/7 hrs)

In today's trek , we will walk through Gunsa river bank, bamboo forests, waterfall, mountain view and more. Overnight stay in Gyabla.
Day 7: Gyabla to Ghunsa trek (3400 m/6 hrs)

Today we will explore Sherpa's lifestyle, culture, side trip of village and monastery. Overnight stay in Ghunsa.
Day 8: Ghunsa tot Khambache trek (1400 m/7 hrs)

Today we will begin our trek at 8 am. We will enjoy the view of Mt. Jannu Himal, Kambor himal. We will cross the Ghunsa river with primitive wooden bridge. Overnight in Khambache.
Day 9: Acclimatization and exploring Jaanu Himal Base Camp

Today we will explore Jannu Himal base camp and nearby beautiful places as this is our Acclimatization day. Overnight stay in Kambachen.
Day 10: Kambachen to Lhonak trek 94700 m/5 hrs)

Most amazing trekking day in our trip. As today we will not only walk but also enjoy the Mt.Jannu, Mt.Kanchenjunga, nepal peak, twins peak. Sometimes more like heavenly view day. Overnight stay in Lhonak.
Day 11: Lhonak to Kanchenjunga North Base Camp (3 hrs) to Lhonak trek (5300 m/3 hrs)

Today we will start our trek to Kanchenjunga North Base Camp . After spending sometimes at base camp, you will trek back to Lhonak for night stay.
Day 12: Lhonak to Khambachen trek (5 hrs)

Our trek will be back to Khambachen using same route. Overnight stay in Khambachen.
Day 13: Khambachen to Ghunsa trek (4 hrs)

We will be returning back to Ghunsa from Khambachen by same route. Overnight stay in Ghunsa.
Day 14: Ghunsa to Sele Le Base Camp trek (6 hrs)

Today, 8 am we will start our trek. Today's trek we will explore, Jannu mountain , Great Himalayan Trail, Lumbasumba pass, Mt.Makau range. Overnight stay in Sele le Base Camp.
Day 15: Sele Le Base Camp to Cheram trek (3700 m/10 hrs)

We will trek down to Cheram through sele le pass for overnight. Today is our longest day of the trek. Overnight stay in Cheram.
Day 16: Cheram to Ramche trek (4600 m/5 hrs)

Our trek will ascends again today to Ramche. From ramche we will see great view of entire mountain ranges. Amazing experience to be there, no such words to explain it, you batter experience yourself. Overnight stay in Ramche.
Day 17: Ramche to Kanchenjunga South Base Camp Trek (4500 m) to Ramche (6 hrs)

Today, we will reach to our second destination Kanchenjunga South Base Camp. From here, we will see Mt.Kanchenjunga-l, ll,lll. Amazing view of Kanchenjunga glacier, again giant view of beautiful mountains. After spending sometime at base camp, we will trek back to Ramche for overnight stay.
Day 18: Ramche to Tortong trek (2700 m/6 hrs)

Today's trek , we will descending down to hills, valley through river side. Rhododendron and bamboo forests. Overnight stay in Tortong.
Day 19: Tortong to Yamphudin (2000 m/ 8 hrs)

Today, we will begin our trek at 8 am. We will begin our trek, long downhill walk from Tortong to Yamphudin. Biggest village in Kanchenjunga of Sherpa tribes of Nepal. Overnight stay in Yamphudin.
Day 20: Yamphudin to Yangpang trek (1000 m/7 hrs)

Today we will be trekking from Yamphudin to Yangpang descending downhill. Overnight stay in Yangpang.
Day 21: Yangpang to Happu Khola (1200 m/ 6 hrs)

Today is the final walking day of entire Kanchenjunga trek. Trek from Yangpang to Happu khola. Overnight stay in guest house in Happu khola.
Day 22: Haapu Khola to Birtamod (9 hrs)

today, we will take early morning sharing jeep to Birtamod. After 9 hrs of road drive, we will reach to Birtamod. Overnight stay at guest house in Birtamod.
Day 23: Birtamod to Kathmandu by bus(11 hrs)

Today is the final day of the journey. We will take a bus from Birtamod to Kathmadu and drop to your hotel in Thamel
