Overview

Montjuïc is the mountain that made Barcelona. Every major chapter of the city's history played out here — and most visitors walk right past it without understanding any of it.
This private tour connects the layers: the medieval Jewish cemetery hidden beneath an Olympic shooting range, the castle that faced inward to control its own citizens, the 1929 Expo that reinvented the city's image, and the 1992 Olympics that transformed Barcelona from a regional capital into a global destination.
You'll stand where Lluís Companys, president of Catalonia, was executed in 1940 — barefoot, by his own request, to feel the Catalan soil one last time. You'll see the pool where Dua Lipa and Kylie Minogue shot their music videos. And you'll understand why Gaudí deliberately kept the Sagrada Família shorter than this mountain.
No other hill in Europe carries this many stories in this little space.

  2. Piscina Municipal de Montjuic
20m · Admission ticket not included
Built in 1929, rebuilt for the 1992 Olympics. Kylie Minogue and Dua Lipa shot music videos here. From the edge of the pool: the best panoramic view of Barcelona, with the Sagrada Família deliberately shorter than the hill.
  3. 25m · Admission ticket not included
A viewpoint hiding a 9th-century Jewish cemetery with 728 documented graves , discovered during construction of Olympic shooting facilities. One of Barcelona's most overlooked historical sites.
  4. Jardins de Mossen Cinto Verdaguer
15m · Admission ticket not included
Gardens dedicated to Catalonia's greatest Romantic poet — who was also an unauthorized exorcist, banished from Barcelona by the Pope.
  5. Fundacio Joan Miro
30m · Admission ticket not included
Built by Miró himself, designed by Josep Lluís Sert. Where the 50-year friendship between Miró and Picasso lives on in paint and bronze.
  6. 30m · Admission ticket not included
Originally built in 1929, rebuilt for a 1936 anti-fascist alternative to the Berlin Olympics that never happened. Then came 1992: the flaming arrow, the Dream Team, and the moment Barcelona became a global city.
  7. 30m · Admission ticket not included
Built for the 1929 Expo, home to the world's greatest collection of Romanesque art. Stand at the top and see the full axis of Barcelona , from Plaza España to the sea.
