Overview
On a tour of the Sacred Valley, you'll experience the heart of ancient Inca culture still living and breathing in its marketplaces and colorful indigenous peoples. Imposing Inca fortresses overlook the fertile, terraced valley as they cling from the mountainsides high above. Salt Maras Peru

The Maras Salt Mines hide within the Urubamba valley--the salt-crusted terraces are nestled within the steep mountain sides and are used to harvest the pink salt of Maras. The ponds have been in use since the time of the Incas. It is a sight to see and a must visit to Maras.
