    underground springs.

You will also hear how the stone circle was “discovered”, how it was taken apart and one man’s obsession to restore this amazing site.

The secrets and mysteries of various stones will be revealed. Then you will discover how Avebury was and is part of a much wider landscape dating back five and a half thousand years.
  4. Silbury Hill
    10m
Silbury Hill is a marvel that dates back four thousand years, and nobody knows why it was built. The ancient structure can be seen for miles around, and your guide will reveal
how generations shaped it and came from far and wide to help build this ancient monument.
  5. West Kennet Long Barrow
    30m
Your last location before returning to London will be the West Kennet Long Barrow. The view from the barrow is
amazing, as is the chance to explore the interior of this ancient burial site. Your guide will tell the story of this mysterious five-and-a-half-thousand-year-old tomb. You will also discover who was found buried inside, how the ancient people of Britain buried their loved ones and how
