What to expect

Day 1: Hanoi - Sapa
  1. Sapa
    4h
7:30 AM: Be picked up by a tour guide and driver for the journey from Hanoi to Sapa. The drive on the new highway offers beautiful views of the rural countryside, mountains, and the Red River.
  2. Thac Bac Waterfall (Silver Falls)
    2h · Admission ticket included
Arrive in Sapa and enjoy lunch, then drive to Tram Ton Pass with stunning views of Fansipan Mountain and the valley. Continue to the Silver Waterfall, the largest in Sapa. Hike up 200 steps and cross the bridge to get as close as possible to the waterfall and enjoy the views, weather permitting.
  3. 2h
After that, set off on a trek to Sin Chai village, home to over 60 Black H’mong families. Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature, which includes flowers, vegetable farms, medicinal plants, and amazing rice terraces. Walk along the path to Sin Chai village and discover the story of the Black H’mong people who migrated to these mountains centuries ago. The distinct cultures, languages, and lifestyles that make this group so fascinating are evident. Visit a primary school and an authentic H’mong house, then get a transfer back to town.
Day 2: Sapa - Bac Ha
  1. 3h
8:00 AM: Travel from Sapa on the road towards Silver Waterfall. Take a less touristic road to the isolated uphill Ban Khoang village. Today, we will venture off the beaten path on a new 12 km trail, featuring both uphill and downhill sections, to explore the primitive culture of the Red Dao, who are well-known for having the most beautiful attire in Sapa.
  2. Ta Phin Village
    3h
After a picnic lunch (or an early lunch at a local restaurant) in the village, follow a small hill path and trek through the corn farm to a rainforest with amazing views of rice terraces. During the season, you may see local people and buffaloes working in the fields. Stop to visit orchid gardens that meet the demands of even the largest cities for New Year decorations. As you walk towards Ta Phin village, be greeted like family members by the villagers. Explore the unique culture and daily life of the Red Dao people who migrated to this mountain from China, and even enjoy a special traditional herbal bath.
  3. Bac Ha
    2h
Pick up by the driver and transfer to Bac Ha. Located at an altitude of 1000m, Bac Ha is home to several ethnic groups, including the colorful Hmong, Phu La, and Tay. The Bac Ha region is well-known for its weekly, colorful markets, which are surrounded by wild and beautiful scenery. These markets serve not only as centers for trading goods but also as hubs for the cultural exchange among the ethnic groups for centuries.
Day 3: Bac Ha - Hanoi
  1. Bac Ha Market
    3h · Admission ticket included
7:00 AM: Start exploring Bac Ha by visiting a vibrant ethnic market (Bac Ha Market on Sundays, Coc Ly Market on Tuesdays, Sin Cheng Market on Wednesdays, Lung Phinh Market on Fridays, or Can Cau Market on Saturdays). Immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere, with a variety of goods such as vegetables, clothing, and poultry, while admiring the colorful attire of the local ethnic groups.

Please note that the market is liveliest early in the morning and begins to wind down by 10:00 AM. To fully experience it, it's best to arrive early.
  2. 1h
After visiting the market, take a walk through some idyllic ethnic villages typical of the Bac Ha landscape, interspersed with cornfields, cassava hills, and clay houses. Plum gardens, adorned by H'Mong women in their colorful dresses, will accompany you throughout your journey.
  3. Hanoi
    5h
Return to town for lunch before transferring to Hanoi. You can check into the hotel in Hanoi around 6:00 PM.
