Overview
This is a fully private tour — your own dedicated guide and vehicle, with no fixed group schedule. That means the flexibility to spend more time at whichever site captures your interest, rather than following a rigid itinerary.
You'll visit two of Egypt's most significant, yet lesser-visited, historical sites:
Tell el-Amarna — the ancient capital founded by Akhenaten, father of King Tutankhamun, and the center of Egypt's brief religious revolution.
Beni Hassan — a series of rock-cut tombs built for regional governors during the Middle Kingdom, uniquely decorated with vivid scenes of daily life, sport, and combat rarely found elsewhere in Egypt.
Unlike Giza or Luxor, both sites see very few visitors — ideal for travellers who've already covered the highlights and want to go deeper into Egypt's history without the crowds.

What to expect
Qussair Al-Amarna Monumental Tombs
2h · Admission ticket included
Tell el-Amarna was the capital city built by Pharaoh Akhenaten in the 14th century BCE, founded when he broke from Egypt's traditional religion to worship the sun disk Aten alone — one of history's earliest known experiments with monotheism. This is also where Akhenaten's son, the young King Tutankhamun, spent his early childhood before the capital was abandoned and largely erased from official history after Akhenaten's death. Today, the site includes the remains of the Great Temple of Aten, royal tombs cut into the eastern cliffs, and the boundary stelae marking the city's original limits. Because it sees very few visitors compared to Egypt's major sites, you'll often have the ruins largely to yourself.
Beni Hassan
1h · Admission ticket included
Beni Hassan is a cluster of rock-cut tombs carved into limestone cliffs overlooking the Nile, built for regional governors during Egypt's Middle Kingdom (around 2000–1900 BCE). What makes these tombs remarkable is their wall art: rare, detailed scenes of everyday life, including wrestling, hunting, agriculture, and dance — offering a far more personal glimpse into ancient Egyptian life than the religious and royal imagery found at most other sites. The tombs' columned facades are also considered architectural precursors to later Greek Doric temple design.
