Leaving in the morning and taking a picnic lunch with you, you will spend most of the day game driving on the floor of the crater. The bottom of the crater dotted with watering-holes, shelter almost 30,000 animals in an area naturally enclosed by the slopes of the volcano. Covering an area of 259 s.kms and standing at 2236m above sea level, it is considered to be one of the Wonders of the Natural World. Spend a whole day exploring the caldera with a picnic lunch break at Ngoitokitok Springs. late afternoon drive to Karatu.
