Overview

From Montpellier, go on an excursion to discover the Camargue. You will be in a small group and accompanied by a Guide throughout the day. In addition to charming villages such as Aigues-Mortes or Saintes Marie de la Mer, you will have the opportunity to walk among the ponds in search of flamingos or other birds of Camargue. The small train ride through the saltworks (April 1 to October 15) is the highlight of the day with this pink color characteristic of the saltworks.

Walk along the city’s magnificent ramparts, stroll through the alleys of the city centre, admire the beautiful square where the famous statue of Saint Louis, founder of the city, is located. Don't forget to stop at Notre Dame des Sablons church and taste local specialties like the famous fougasse d'Aigues-Mortes.

A unique site to preserve, as big as the city of Paris. On a small train, discover the history of the saltworks, as well as the surrounding flora and fauna. Let yourself be seduced by the pink colors of the pools and the different light plays. Climb to the top of a camelle, real mountains of salt that dominate the landscape. (April 1 to October 15)

INFORMATION: from October 15th to April 1st, with the saltworks closed, the visit is replaced by the lighthouse of Espiguette. In the middle of the dunes of the wild beach of Espiguette, visit a museum and climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. A magical 360° view awaits you to contemplate this unique region!
