Overview

On this 5-days trekking to Salkantay, you will cross a pass at 4,510m and then it´s a relaxing walking down. You will pass some remote villages, have fabulous views at for example Veronica, Salkantay, other snow peaks, green valleys and the river Urubamba, maybe you can see condors and surely you will meet very friendly people.

  • Lunch and dinner on the last day: after the guided tour at Machupicchu, you can enjoy free time to further visit the ruins and choose to have lunch either in Machupicchu or in Aguas Calientes at your own expense. Arrival in Cusco is estimated around 9pm, dinner being at your own expense too.
  • Sleeping bag: can be rented in our office for US$ 25.00 for the entire trek (every sleeping bag is washed prior to each use)
  • Entrance to the Hot Springs in Aguas Calientes (optional): a relaxing way to end-up the 4-day trek while you’re awaiting the return train to Cusco, only 10 minutes from the village center, entrance fee is US$ 4.00, Towels can be hired in Aguas Calientes.

What to expect

During this activity we will walk for a few hours each day and camp in camping places, we will view a beatiful flora and fauna diverse, eat local food.
