The Mosque-Cathedral Monumental Site of Cordoba offers the beautiful complexity resulting from the mixing of the most diverse styles and artistic forms. From Hellenism to the Baroque, not forgetting Caliphate splendour, this building offers us a complete and unique vision of the history of art, a rich dialogue between cultures.
Its history, starting as a primitive Visigoth basilica before becoming an Aljama Mosque and finally a Cathedral, rightly suggests that this is a living building, a building that has survived down the centuries. We are looking at exceptional and prodigious architecture that continues to excite and amaze everyone who sees it.
