Overview

One of Mexico's best-kept secrets, Coronado Island is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the natural treasures of the Sea of Cortez.

Here, majestic landscapes, pristine white-sand beaches and remarkable wildlife come together on an island just a half-hour boat ride from Loreto.

Cruise around the island looking for sea lions, bird colonies and dolphins, then slip into the crystal-clear water to snorkel and discover the marine life below. This is the Sea of Cortez that Jacques Cousteau famously called “the aquarium of the world.”

Step onto one of Coronado's pristine white-sand beaches, enjoy a delicious picnic lunch and spend time swimming, exploring or simply relaxing beside the turquoise sea.

From the wildlife above and below the water to the majestic island landscape, Coronado gives you a glimpse of the wild beauty that makes the Sea of Cortez unlike anywhere else in the world.
