There are few experiences in the world that match swimming alongside the largest fish in the ocean—especially when that fish is a shark! But don't worry, whale sharks are known as the "gentle giants of the sea" and can measure up to 40 feet (12 meters) in length.
Whale sharks migrate to the Bay of La Paz in winter in search of food. Join us on this fun and educational adventure from October to April! You can choose to observe these magnificent animals from the boat or enter the water in a small group to swim alongside them in their natural habitat.
Important: Whale shark area access is federally regulated. Your reservation does not guarantee access on a specific date or time.
Our guides will brief you on everything you need to know about whale sharks in La Paz before heading by boat to the area where they are found. Then comes your chance to slip into the water and snorkel alongside the world's largest fish!
With limited space and a small-group format, this experience gives you the chance to observe one of the ocean's most majestic animals up close in its natural habitat.
Swimming alongside a whale shark is an experience you'll remember for the rest of your life!
