Overview

Escape Bangkok on this evening tour to three iconic destinations in Samut Songkhram. Watch in disbelief as vendors at the legendary Maeklong Railway Market (Talad Rom Hup) calmly pull back their stalls for a live train — a tradition born from a railway line dating to 1901. Explore Wat Bang Kung, an Ayutthaya-era temple where King Taksin's army once held the line against Burmese invaders in 1768 — today its ancient ubosot is swallowed by the roots of a giant Banyan tree. As dusk falls, drift through Amphawa Floating Market, a centuries-old canal community where locals trade fresh seafood and Thai desserts from wooden boats. End the evening with a river cruise along the Mae Klong — on lucky nights, fireflies light up the riverside trees in a magical natural display.
