Discover the authentic art of Italian pasta-making during this hands-on cooking class in the heart of Naples. Led by a local chef, this experience focuses on preparing two traditional pasta dishes from scratch: soft potato gnocchi and fresh tagliatelle.
After an introduction to the ingredients, you’ll put on your apron and begin learning the traditional techniques used in Italian kitchens for generations. Start by preparing pillowy gnocchi, mastering the balance of ingredients needed to achieve the perfect light and texture.
Next, move on to fresh tagliatelle. You’ll mix, knead, roll, and cut the dough into long ribbons using traditional tools and professional methods.
You’ll also prepare a homemade tomato sauce using classic Italian ingredients such as San Marzano tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, basil, and sea salt, designed to complement your handmade pasta.
Throughout the class, your chef will share stories and culinary traditions that provide insight into food culture in Naples.
At the end of the experience, sit down and enjoy the gnocchi and tagliatelle you have prepared yourself, served with your freshly made tomato sauce in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
