The Nine Arch Bridge also called the Bridge in the Sky, is a viaduct bridge in Sri Lanka and one of the best examples of colonial-era railway construction in the country.
The bridge was designed to accommodate a challenging nine-degree curve and steep gradient. Built entirely by local labor under British supervision, the construction faced significant logistical challenges, including difficult terrain and material transport.

Little Adam’s Peak in Ella is a popular, easy hike in Sri Lanka, known for its breathtaking 360-degree views over the Ella Gap and surrounding tea plantations. Named for its resemblance to the iconic Adam’s Peak (Sri Pada), it is far less demanding and accessible to most visitors via a short, scenic walk through lush tea bushes. Rising to about 1,141 meters, the peak is best visited at sunrise or sunset, when the landscape is especially spectacular.
