Overview

Everest base camp helicopter tour is an exciting outdoor activities to do on your tour to Nepal. You will enjoy spectacular Himalayan view (one of the close up view) of Mt. Everest from Kalapatthar (5545m.) and Everest base camp, besides the HImalayan view, you will see aerial views of glaciers and Khumbu Region. The helicopter will flyover the Everest Base Camp and Kalapatthar and allow you to witness the great Himalayan view throughout the flight. After the Kalapatthar and Everest base camp fly back to Pherice and continue fly to Syangboche (3870 m.) where we will land at at Everest View Hotel, with an optional opportunity to enjoy the breakfast in-front of mighty Himalayan range.

What to expect

  1. Kathmandu

    Everest base camp helicopter tour starts from the domestic terminal of Kathmandu airport and landing at Kala Patthar (5,545m.). First fly from Kathmandu airport by an Euro copter 350 B3 Model helicopter to Lukla and a very short time land at lukla to drop the return fuel as they need that when return to Kathmandu. Then continue fly to Pheriche 4200 meters as we need to split the group due to thin air. First we take 3 passengers to the Everest base camp area and then drop them to the Kalapatthar and again pick up the remaining passengers from Pheriche. After the moiuntian flight, we land at Kala Patthar again and allow the passengers to take photos and videos for their lifetime memory. Then fly back to Hotel Everest view and passengers can have breakfast there (optional). Then continue fly back to Kathmandu and we will refill the fuel at Lukla. The trip normally starts at 6:30am, sometime it might be little delay due to the weather condition and air traffic of Kathmandu airport.

    This is the first stop of the flight as we need to drop the fuel which need for return flight to Kathmandu.

    At Pheriche we need to split the group. Due to the thin air, maximum number of passengers we can take to the Everest base camp section and Kalapatthar only 3. The split matter helps all passengers to get a window seats to enjoy the wonderful Mt. Everest and other Himalayan view.
  4. Kala Patthar
    Pass by
    We will flyover at Kala Patthar (5,545 meters) and Everest base Camp (5,364m.) as it offers the best view of Mt. Everest. You will enjoy the base camp view from the flight, as you will overfly to the Everest base camp. You can take photos and videos from the flight.

    We will land at Everest view hotel for the breakfast. Breakfast is optional but you will enjoy panoramic Himalayan view from there.
  6. Lukla
    10m
    We will stop here for refill the fuel.
  7. Kathmandu

    Fly back to Kathmandu after the wonderful Everest base camp helicopter flight!

Pickup details

We will provide pick up service from the hotel around Thamel area or nearby. If you resides a little far, we request you to meet at the domestic terminal of Kathmandu airport.
