Day 1: Day 01: Arrive Chennai

    Upon arrival at Chennai Airport, you will be welcomed by a Travel XS representative and transferred to your hotel.

    Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu, is often referred to as the cultural capital of South India. A fascinating blend of tradition and modernity, the city is known for its rich heritage, colonial history, vibrant arts scene, and thriving economy. The city traces its origins to 1639 when the English East India Company established Fort St. George, which remains one of Chennai's most important landmarks.
Day 2: Day 02: Chennai – Kanchipuram

    After breakfast, drive to Kanchipuram, one of the seven sacred cities of India and renowned as the "City of a Thousand Temples."

    Visit some of the city's most important temples, including the Ekambareswarar Temple, famous for its ancient mango tree, and the magnificent Kailasanathar Temple, one of the oldest structural stone temples in Tamil Nadu. Explore Kanchipuram's famous silk weaving tradition and witness the craftsmanship behind the world-renowned Kanchipuram silk sarees.
Day 3: Day 03: Kanchipuram – Mamallapuram

    After breakfast, proceed to Mamallapuram (Mahabalipuram), a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of South India's finest examples of Pallava architecture.

    Visit the iconic Shore Temple, the magnificent Arjuna's Penance bas-relief, the impressive Five Rathas, and several ancient rock-cut cave temples. You may also visit a local sculpture workshop to observe traditional stone carving techniques that have been practiced for generations.
Day 4: Day 04: Mamallapuram - Chennai Airport
