Beautiful traditional Japanese sweets and matcha. We will explain its history and how to behave at tea ceremony site.

Since the tea ceremony is conducted while seated on chairs, you won’t experience any discomfort. This method also has a history of over 150 years.

For the second bowl of matcha, you will prepare it yourself. I will guide you so that you can create a nice froth.

You can choose from two dishes: Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki or sushi rolls. Please select in advance. Each group chooses one menu.

Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki is fun to make, has a wonderful aroma, and is very delicious.

We will also prepare side dishes such as miso soup, so please let us know in advance if you have any allergies.

Sushi rolls can be a little challenging to make, but they are perfect for vegans and Muslims—beautiful, healthy, and delicious.

Koto scores are originally written in kanji, but I have converted them into numbers and musical notation for you.

You can enjoy your live music show after lesson.

What's included

You can enjoy a live performance and also take a lesson in traditional Japanese instruments.

What to expect

The location is only 20 minutes from Tokyo Station to Shin-Urayasu (JE08)and just a 3-minute walk from the meeting point. This is a private experience, you can relax, ask anything you are curious about, and enjoy every moment at your own pace.

Your friendly host will meet you at the station and guide you to a Japanese home. On the way, we stop by a supermarket where you’ll learn about unique Japanese ingredients.

Once at the home, you’ll first change into a cotton kimono called yukata. This outfit is photogenic—perfect for taking memorable photos. After that, we’ll start experiences.

For cooking, you can choose in advance between Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki (a savory pancake) or norimaki (sushi rolls). Please note that one menu must be chosen for the whole group.

You will enjoy two bowls of matcha—Your first bowl of matcha will be served to you with a beautiful ceremony. And the second prepared by yourself. This is casual tea ceremony so just enjoy the experience.

Live music with the koto, a traditional Japanese string instrument, you will enjoy beautiful pieces play by your host, and then it’s your turn to play. Don’t worry, guidance will help you create elegant sounds.
