For people travelling with very young children, there is a specific Cave of the Winds deck 150 feet from the falls where you just get a light misting.
Precise opening and closing dates of the Hurricane Deck and Wooden Walkways at Cave of the Winds are subject to weather conditions. They are normally open Mid-May to Mid-October.
