Overview

Two experiences in one day: see the Red Sea reef through the panoramic windows of a semi-submarine, then explore the real Hurghada on a guided city tour. Most operators offer one or the other.

The semi-submarine stays near the surface, so there is no diving, no descent and no need to swim. Snorkeling is optional, which makes it ideal for families, non-swimmers and first-time visitors.

On land, your guide takes you beyond the resort strip to the old fishing quarter, a working wooden-boat shipyard, Hurghada's largest mosque, its oldest Coptic church and a lively local market.

Everything is included: hotel transfers, snorkeling gear, water and a soft drink, entrance fees and an English, German or Arabic-speaking guide. Infants travel free.
