Overview

Visit Slovenia’s capital, Ljubljana, and Lake Bled, one of Slovenia’s most famous and visited natural attractions, on this small-group tour from Zagreb.

- Making a wish and ringing the bell inside the church
- Visiting the iconic Bled Castle, Slovenia's oldest and most famous castle
- Tasting the famous Bled cream cake
The second part of the tour brings you to Ljubljana, where you can explore:
- Ljubljana Castle, a majestic fortress overlooking the city

What to expect

  1. Bled Castle (Blejski Grad)
1h · Admission ticket not included
Bled castle is the oldest Slovenian castle and currently one of the most visited tourist attractions in Slovenia. The castle houses a museum collection that traces the lake’s history from earliest times to the development of Bled as a resort in the 19th century.
Castle restaurant offers taking coffee or famous Bled cake while enjoying an exceptional breath-taking view.
  2. Lake Bled
    1h
Lake Bled is one of the most beautiful spots in Slovenia and is often the literal poster child for Slovenia tourism. In fact, it must also be a contender to be one of the most beautiful places in the whole of Europe! Not only is the lake itself serene and peaceful, but it features not one but two iconic landmarks: a island topped with in the middle of the lake and a fairytale castle on a hill.
  3. Ljubljana
    2h
Slovenia's capital and largest city is one of Europe's greenest and most livable capitals; it was the European Commission's Green Capital of Europe in 2016. Car traffic is restricted in the center, leaving the leafy banks of the emerald-green Ljubljanica River, which flows through the city's heart, free for pedestrians and cyclists. In summer, cafes set up terrace seating along the river; it almost feels like a nightly street party.
  4. Ljubljana Castle
1h · Admission ticket not included
Ljubljana Castle, standing on a hill above the city for about 900 years, is Ljubljana's main attraction. The castle offers some of the most beautiful views of the city and houses a museum exhibition on Slovenian history, a puppet museum, and a number of historical rooms such as the Chapel of St George, the Prison, and a video presentation room called Virtual Castle.
