We will spend most of our time here. In addition to capturing mirror reflection and perspective photos, we will visit the first hotel made entirely of salt, Flag Island, where we will take photos with the flag of your country, the Dakar monument, the stairway to Heaven monument, and the Giant Cacti Island before witnessing a stunning sunset in the largest salt desert on earth.

After all of these activities, we will head to our accommodation, the Tayka de Sal Hotel.
Day 2: Into the Andean deserts
  1. Pass by
We start the day by visiting another salt desert which is brown-colored and smaller than Uyuni Salt Flats.
  2. 20m
We are observing one of Bolivia's two active volcanoes from this viewpoint located 10 km away. We are now entering the deserts of the southwestern region of Bolivia.
  3. Laguna Canapa
    15m
We visit the first Andean lagoon, Cañapa lagoon, a habitat of endemic Andean fauna.
  4. Laguna Hedionda

  5. Siloli Desert
    1h · Admission ticket included
At an altitude of approximately 5000 meters above sea level, this is one of the driest and highest deserts in the world. Here we will encounter the famous stone tree, a particular rock formation due to the erosion of wind. We enter to Eduardo Abaroa National Reserve, Bolivia's most isolated protected area.
  6. Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve of Andean Fauna

After enjoying the hot springs and thermal waters, we will visit the Salvador Dalí desert, considered the 'most surrealistic landscape' in the world due to its resemblance to "La persistencia de la memoria," a piece of art made by the Spanish artist Salvador Dalí in 1931.
  4. Laguna Verde
    15m
We will visit the Green Lagoon located in the most south-western point of Bolivia. This spot provides a fantastic view of the Licancabur volcano, which has served as a natural border between Bolivia and Chile since 1904, after the Pacific Ocean war between the two mentioned countries.
